UH Animation Club: University of Houston

At the beginning of the Spring 2023 semester, my peers and I founded the Animation Club at the University of Houston.

The Animation Club seeks to encourage students to learn about animation and inspire them to create in the fields of 2D Animation, 3D Animation, and Motion Design. I am very proud to be a Co-Founder and a Mentor in 2D Animation!

We are currently arranging animation challenges, weekly inspiration postings, studio showcases, professional speaker events, and workshops to help inspire other UH students about the world of animation in the interest fields of 2D Animation, 3D Animation, and Motion Design.

Challenge Submissions

360 Head Turn

05/08/2023 - 05/21/2023

Created entirely in Clip Studio Paint EX, using the vector lineart with the turnip pen brush, standard round tool brush, and airbrush tool.

I chose to animate my original character Vidya, who has glasses and short hair to add to the challenge!

Adding Life to Objects

04/04/2023 - 04/16/2023

Created entirely in Clip Studio Paint EX, using the standard round tool brush and airbrush tool.

I made my friends choose a flower and its color for me to animate to add to the challenge and push me out of my comfort zone - they ended up selecting a frilly pansy variant.

Animate a Growing Plant

02/19/2023 - 03/05/2023

Created entirely in Clip Studio Paint EX, using the standard round tool brush, gouache brush, and airbrush tool.
