Jaeru’s Letter | Transmedia Promotional Video

A heartfelt letter from Jaeru, guardian to Snowbun, is intercepted by the wrong recipient.

This video is the promotional trailer for Solace in Snowfall’s Act 2 Part 2. The results of this intercepted letter will be driven through audience interaction through Twitter (@janarowe_) and Instagram Story polls (@janarowe).

Challenged to create a video supporting my transmedia campaign (page coming soon) to promote my commission services and its overarching storyline, I chose to emphasize the opposing perspective of Snowbun’s adventure through the eyes of Jaeru.

Jaeru’s Letter focuses on the ambiguous parent-to-child relationship between Jaeru and Snowbun in the form of a meaningful letter. Jaeru is now facing an empty nest due to Snowbun’s departure, and she hopes to send him support - while giving him space to complete his goal. However, the letter is intercepted at its destination, Lea’s home, by Aiden Finnerty, Lea’s father. He reads the letter and ultimately decides to toss it in the trash as though it were a prank - but what will happen next? Stay tuned for the release of Act 2 Part 2 of Solace in Snowfall!

Character References

Characters were illustrated in Adobe Photoshop using the circle gradient and lasso tool for a simple, lineless style.
